Herod the Not-So-Great. The star and the wisemen. Outsiders recognized and saved Christ who was ignored by his own. What does it mean there was no room in the inn? The mission of Christ set forth in the beginning. When Christ was left for three days and found at the temple.

  1. Those who dance are thought insane by those who can’t hear the music. Friedrich Nitzscke. We may see the signs but never comprehend the importance or impact and meaning. It has been said that many will see the burning bush and remove their shoes because the ground is sacred while the rest of us just pick and eat the blackberries.
It must have been easy to see the signs of the Lord’s birth by those not looking for it, Nephi excepted.
    Thanks for your discussion

  2. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Jason! As always, great job this week! I particularly love the story of the wise men. The question that you guys asked never came into my mind before, “why did they go to Herod if they already knew where to find Jesus?” I think it has something to do with God’s grand plan. It’s very obvious that the wise men had the spirit with them and I think the spirit told them to talk with the king first. As you talked about, Herod’s downfall was a result of him slaughtering a bunch of kids. I’m sure there was many more effects of the wise men going to the king first. You and Lloyd give me a lot to think about throughout the week which is good! Thanks for giving me your email as well. I will definitely reach out if I need to. Thanks again and God bless!

  3. You guys are the best! I look forward to listening to your podcast weekly! Thank you! That mission story Jason told us about the encounter with the “not prophesy verse” dude visiting that family still makes us laugh out loud! We were listening while driving to St.George on Thanksgiving! Haha. Thanks so much for edifying my soul with so much knowledge, inspiration, truth, and good laughs! You guys are a blessing!

LEARNING THAT’S WORTH THE JOURNEY

It makes sense for many schools and online learning platforms to devote their time and resources into those core courses and curriculum that are in most demand. As a result, this strategy gives them the biggest bang for their dollar and ensures a steady stream of traffic. However, Add On Education is different, and the best way to describe it is like a journey. We most importantly seek to add on to core learning additional courses, insights and perspective not found anywhere else. As such, we feel like it's like a journey to unique discoveries. To sum up, we feel what we have to offer is learning that's worth the journey.
